Well the outcome of the Super Bowl was not what I had hoped. After all, there are only two teams that I will always hope loses, especially in the Super Bowl. But as I casually watched the game (while painting my nails) I did learn a few things.
5). Belicheck fears the Ravens – why else would Coach mention our name when answering a question about if he was nervous
4). Richard Sherman wears his heart on his sleeve – You Sad Bro??
3). Warren Sapp didn’t pay attention to the PSA’s – dude you are done. No more second chances for you
2). The Seahawks remind me of the Ravens – missed opportunities and one crucial screw up costs the game
1). I never realized how much I loved dancing sharks and Missy Elliot!! I thought I was the only one laughing at the dancing and singing sharks and trees, or dancing with Missy like it was 1998
This year’s Super Bowl also confirmed three things I already knew:
1). I can hate the Pats but I can’t hate Gronk – Deflate Gate, Spy Gate, rushed snaps to catch 12 men on the field, ineligible players lining up as receivers, CryBrady, that whole team works my nerves. But Gronk is the big, little brother who astounds and makes you shake your head for his plays and laugh at his off-field antics.
2). Cris Collinsworth is the ultimate flip flop – I get it he enjoys watching the game but his enthusiasm appears as fawning. When it’s against the team I’m not rooting for, I just wanna slap him
3). Don’t smile until the clock is at 0:00 and you have the win – I knew the game was over as soon as I saw Pete Carroll grinnin’ it up in the 3rd quarter. Lost focus, assumed the game was in the bag and forgot that they were playing against a team that doesn’t stop playing
… and I forgot that Ravens Season Ticket renewals are emailed the Friday before Super Bowl. This totally caught me off guard until, but then I remembered, it’s all about 2015.
